Dayton Airport Parking Rehabilitation and Expansion
Electrical Engineering & Design
Dayton, OH

VT Design Solutions is providing (as part of the overall engineering team) the Electrical Engineering & Design for a major rehabilitation and expansion of the parking facilities at the Dayton International Airport in Dayton, Ohio.

Prior to engineering execution, VT Design Solutions performed an assessment of the existing electrical conditions, along with a lighting technology study, which resulted in a report that included current electrical components conditions and upgrade recommendations for circuitry, poles, and light fixtures. Report also included a cost estimate and analysis, including material and construction cost, as well as rate of return for each lighting technology investigated.

VT Design Solutions provided construction documents for power and communications wiring for new lots, modifications to existing lots, as well as to completely rewire existing lots.

Parking lots were upgraded with various equipment, such as:

  • Poles and light fixtures

  • Bus shelter stations

  • Entry and exit gates with ticket spitters and credit card swipes

  • Bus gates

  • Attendant booth

PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS ENGINEERING EFFORT IS STILL UNDER WAY, HENCE NO DRAWINGS HAVE BEEN ISSUED AND NO CONSTRUCTION HAS STARTED. ONE ASSESSMENT HAS BEEN ISSUED AND REVIEWED, THE OTHER ONE HAS NOT.
