Liquid Fill Manufacturing Facility
Size - 50,000 square feet
Cincinnati, OH

VT Design Solutions designed the expansion and modifications to an existing 15,000 square foot building and adjacent parking facility for the production and packing operations of a turn-key liquid fill facility. VT managed the civil, structural, architectural, process, packing, utility, and electrical engineering. VT engineered and designed the total operational systems from unloading raw material through finished product shipping, including all building and ancillary support systems as well as administrative operations.

The making, filling, and packing operations were defined, specified and designed by the VT team. Installation/bid packages were developed for the project equipment requirements.

Equipment and related processes included:

Storage & Mix Tanks Transfer Pumps Sterilized CIP / Washout System Filling Machines Case Packers / Labelers Stretch Wrappers Air Handler Units Steam Boiler Air Compressor, Dryer, & Receiver Power Generation and Distribution System Controls Data Management

The project was designed to produce an initial volume of approximately 40,000,000 units of liquid product. The initial design provided for expansion of the plant to accommodate up to 90,000,000 units. Project design provided for bulk filling and shipment of final product, and for the use of tank trucks and product totes to provide liquid product to the filling lines. In addition, the Making department included Intermediate storage tanks to provide continuous flow to the filling lines.
