Design/Build Manufacturing Facility

Our customer required an increase in its manufacturing capacity at an existing manufacturing facility. VT Design Solutions’ project scope included the definition, design, and procurement of multiple HVAC systems to provide heating, cooling, and humidity control to multiple manufacturing areas and administrative office locations at the plant site. VT Design Solutions provided the engineering and design execution of required HVAC systems to support the making, converting, and packing operations, along with various labs, offices, and control rooms. The scope consisted of adding new air handling units and related utilities. As part of a $4.5MM Design/Build team, VT Design Solutions developed and tracked an engineering schedule to manage the design deliverables, resource allocation, and costs as part of the total project schedule. All areas were delivered on schedule and within the forecasted budget. The scope included designing the systems to customer specifications, along with the required support utilities. Installation packages were issued and included equipment specification, piping and instrument diagrams, layouts, power and controls wiring diagrams, and structural supports. Engineered and designed HVAC systems and controls for multiple area requirements, ranging from temperature/humidity controlled operations areas to personnel occupied labs and offices.

Equipment and related processes included:

  • Customized Air Handler Units, With Rotary Drum Filters, Up To 400 Ton Capacity

  • Commercial Air Handler Units, Up To 250 Ton Capacity
